UPDATE: We had to move the school to SATURDAY, November 19th (the day before). Cohen got a 'last minute booking' from the City of El Paso so they bumped us from the day. We're going to try to hold it the day before now please let us know if you can make Saturday instead of Sunday.
We are holding an Auto-X school on November 19th at Cohen Stadium. Right now the plan is to start setup around 9:00am get the participants teched and then run through various corner types with an experienced auto-x'er in the car to give some guidance as to what you could do better. The goal is to help out the newer crowd gain some insight as to how they could take the corners to improve their times.
The cost of the event will be $25 for any driver. Being an SCCA member is not required for this event, however anyone who is not will be signing a weekend membership form at no additional cost.
After the event we will probably work on chaining a couple of the corners together and creating a small course for the drivers to practice what they have learned.
If you would like to participate as a driver or instructor please let me or Luis know as soon as possible. We are hoping to hit our mark of around 10 drivers before the weekend so we know what to expect. If you have any friends who want to try autox out this is an excellent opportunity.
